We host walks, dinners, picnics, and small gatherings; simple ways to connect with others in a natural, unforced way.Many people come on their own. Conversations unfold slowly. And over time, it becomes something people return to.

If you’d like to join, there are a few ways to stay connected:

1. Who usually join Tokyo Expat Social Club?
People living in or around Tokyo who are looking to meet others and spend time together. Expats, locals, and newcomers; it’s a mix, and many people join on their own.2. How much do events cost?
Most events have a small fee, depending on the format. You can find the details on each event page.3. How do I RSVP?
You can RSVP through Meetup. If something feels interesting, you’re welcome to come along.4. Do I need to speak Japanese?
Not at all. Most conversations happen in English, and the atmosphere is generally easygoing regardless of language level.5. I’m new to Tokyo — is this a good place to start?
Many people join when they’re new. It’s a simple way to spend time with others and get a feel for the city, at your own pace.

Notes on participation

TESC events are informal community gatherings created for social and cultural exchange.
By joining, you’re agreeing to a few simple things:• Participation is voluntary and at your own discretion
• Organizers can’t take responsibility for personal injury, lost items, or related issues
• Event fees go toward coordination and materials, and are non-refundable unless the event is canceledWe also ask that everyone is respectful of each other and of any venues or public spaces we use.From time to time, we may take a few group photos to share on our social channels. If you’d prefer not to be included, just let us know.
If you have any concerns or specific needs (allergies, accessibility, privacy, etc.), feel free to message us beforehand.

TESC Supporter Membership

The TESC Supporter is a simple way to support the community and stay a little closer to it. It includes access to a small private space on Discord, where conversations tend to be quieter and more ongoing.Price
